Gwynne Beatty holds a B.A. from Boston College and a J.D. from Washington University School of Law in St. Louis, Missouri.
Her career trajectory includes communications, marketing, public relations, fundraising, project creation and management, public/private partnerships, event production, image making.
She began working in Haiti in 2004, first with Yele Haiti Foundation for 3.5 years, and then with Trilogy International Partners as Director of Social Investment at Voila for 3.5 years. Her leadership and innovative methods in corporate philanthropy and marketing won Trilogy and Voila the State Dep’t’s coveted Award for Corporate Excellence in 2009 from a global pool of nominees. Building Voila’s “Education For Success” platform, averaging 30 projects per year, her work’s common thread was education and job creation for Haitians.
Prior to Haiti, Ms. Beatty was Director, Digital Music & Film at the US’s foremost entertainment PR firm, Rogers & Cowan, and led the account for the largest client in the firm’s history, Microsoft’s Digital Media Division, for 4 years.
